Gumboot Friday Travelwise Day

Our Browns Bay School Travelwise Day is a non-uniform-day. Students are encouraged to wear their gumboots to school to support Gumboot Friday.
We will have gumboot throwing competitions at lunchtime and there will also be a gumboot colouring competition leading up to this event.
Gumboot Friday aims to raise money to fund free counselling services for young New Zealanders.
To participate on the day, students need to use sustainable transport by walking, biking, scootering or parking and walking to school. If students would like to donate to this great cause they can bring a gold coin donation, however, this is not a requirement for participating.
